12/13/11: FALL CONCERT A SUCCESS!
Thanks to all the family and friends that attended the first Moffitt music program concert of the 2011-12 year. Your students appreciate your support.
Thanks also to Ms. Cho, our music teacher. She's done an amazing job with our kids in the little time she has been given to work with them. We are lucky to have the opportunity to learn and play music. I can't wait to see what we learn next.
And of course, a bit "YOU GUYS ROCK!!!" to all the 5th and 6th grade students who participated in the concerts today, especially those who came and performed for both the 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. concerts. That's four in one day!!
I would like to give extra special thanks to the 10 students in my class that stayed for the 6:30 concert. It's a lot more nerve-wracking when there's only a few of you up there, isn't it? You did great! And they already know how to act like rock stars, as you can see below . . .
p.s. You can view a larger selection of photos in the PHOTO/ACTIVITIES PAGE. Check it out!

Winter Music Performances
Here are a few photos of the musical performances of Moffitt's 5th & 6th grade classes. This year, ALL 5th & 6th graders have a music class. Room 405, for example, is learning to play the guitar. Mrs. Galaske's and Mrs. T's classes are learning to play band instruments (wind and brass). The 5th graders are taking lessons in various percussion instruments. Take a look . . .
"And here's where it gets weird . . ."
Ok, you've seen the normal pictures. Now, take a look at the photos I took using the iPad's "Photo Booth" app. It just goes to show that anyone with the right technology can twist reality into something, um, interesting and different.
